A lovely ring celebrating the Order of Odd Fellows, made from an original spoon pattern from the early 1900s. The Order of Odd Fellows is a historic fraternal organization founded on the principles of friendship, love, and truth, with roots tracing back to 18th-century England. Among its symbolic imagery, the skull serves as a powerful symbol for memento mori—a reminder of mortality—encouraging members to live meaningful, virtuous lives. This symbol, often displayed in ritual settings, reflects the Odd Fellows' deep commitment to reflection, humility, and the shared human journey. This unique ring would make a lovely gift for yourself or someone you hold dear.
This ring is made from a vintage sterling silver spoon, 925, nickel-free. This ring will be adjusted to the size you request, but it can easily be tightened or loosened at home if you want a different fit. As these are antique items, there may be minor wear and tear from its past life. Some rings may have engravings or markings. We do not offer any customization or marking removal at this time.
Spoon rings originated in 17th-century England. In those days, flatware was highly prized as it was made from solid silver and high stylized and decorated in an heirloom manner. Popular lore explains that servants, unable to afford to buy 'proper' engagement rings would steal a flatware piece from their master's home. They would shape it into a ring and give it to their beloved for a marriage proposal. Thus, the earliest spoon rings served as symbols of love and commitment, in defiance of strict social and economic barriers.

Love this ring so much, it’s such a cool and unique ring. I got it for my dad for Father’s Day, and was too excited to actually wait for Father’s Day and ended up already giving it to him. Love the quality of your items and I plan on buying more in future.
