A tiny spoon pendant featuring the Idaho state flower - the Syringa! Also known as mock-orange, the Syringa was officially declared the state flower in 1931 but began representing the state on the Great Seal of the State of Idaho soon after its admission to the union in the 1890s. The flower was chosen for its strong, appealing scent and striking appearance across the landscape in the springtime. This plant has a long history of use by the indigenous people of the region, and was given the scientific name "lewisii" after Meriwether Lewis of the Lewis & Clark expedition. With its beautifully detailed depiction of one of the the greatest gems of the Gem State, this floral pendant is perfect for any Idahoan.
